Microclimate Impacts on Sub-arctic Soil Ecology project (MISSE)

The project aims to explore the impact of elevation, aspect and dominant and invasive alien vegetation cover on soil microarthropod population dynamics, by sampling for soil organisms along a dense network of meteorological stations around the Kevo Research Station, Finland. Project partners: Dr Heather Rumble and Dr Nick Pepin at Portsmouth University.

Funded by EU INTERACT: International Network for Terrestrial Research and Monitoring in the Arctic) Transnational Access fund.
